Acrylic on canvas panel

This is the oldest granddaughter, Stephenie. She may not be a woman just yet, but she definitely not a little girl either. I’m going to miss the little girl.

Buy it, I’m already well into my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments. (Well….the good ones anyway.)

beautiful work Jim you inspire me to try portraits again, not my strong point will have to study yours.

  • I do understand Marie, I had to force myself to paint more portraits as it was the weak link it my painting portfolio. I still don’t concider it my strong link, but I feel as though I have improved by making myself paint them. Thanks for that wonderful encouraging note.

I know that stage- I live with it every day :) I love the expression in this painting!

  • Then you know it’s kind of a “I’m smarter than the grown ups” look that you just wanta smack right off her face sometimes…
