WN artist colours on Fabriano 140lb Not

If this one looks a little familiar that’s because it’s a watercolour version of an acrylic I recently posted.

Here’s the acrylic version.

Buy it, I’m already well into my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments. (Well….the good ones anyway.)

I really like this softer version of the scene….but then, I’m partial to watercolor. And out of curiosity, don’t you guys have any cars down there? All I ever see is boats! LOL!

  • That’s because we had rather be in a boat than a car any day. Besides it beats riding around on cows. LOL

I love the softness of the sky to bring attention and contrast to the subjects. Your work is truly an inspiration to me, Jim.

  • Any artist that doesn’t like to hear compliments like that is just plain crazy. Thank you Jennifer.

We don’t ride ’em, we worship them! LOLOLOL!!!

  • And by the way I just looked at what time it’s got to be in your part of the world. You must get up with those chickens and pigs you love to paint so much. Worship them, I bet you were probably part of a “cow tipping” gang when you were a teenager.

  • I don’t think my imagination will even go there Marsha. LOL

Great to see you going back to boats and the seaside…this really lovely Jim…

  • I guess when it really comes down to it, an artist’s best work is usually what he or she is most familiar with(their surroundings) or what they know the most about. Thanks for a lovely comment Janis.
