WN artist colours on 140lb Fabriano watercolour paper

A follow up to the previous posting…. this was the first assignment for the watercolour class. You may notice that it’s the same subject matter, but a different viewpoint and arrangement.

Buy it, I’m already well into my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments. (Well….the good ones anyway.)

Such complicated work, so superbly achieved in watercolour! Brilliant Jim.

  • You may have noticed how different this was to the acrylic version. This was designed for my advanced watercolour students. Thanks Beatrice.

Another wonderful piece! Nice color & detail work. I think you’re trying to tell us that you’re sick of winter & that your favorite gear is all ready for that first nice day to come along, then you’re otta here!!!

  • It’s kinda scary that you see through me like a pane of glass. LOL Thanks Marsha.

Much more muted, and very effective with impressive detail. Just shows us how you can get two quite different works from the same subject. Nice watercolour Jim.

  • A really nice observation Ian. Thank you friend.
