Acrylic on canvas panel
Mostly from my imagination, the tree I borrowed from a photo I had. Common scene in and around where I live.

Buy it, I’m already well into my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments. (Well….the good ones anyway.)

Wow, great scene Jim! The tree so close in the fore-ground makes for a PERFECT and interesting composition!

  • Thanks Maree, that’s really a nice comment.

I like the composition in this painting, Jim. There’s also a real strong feel to this. Reminds me of how I feel about certain farm areas I visit.

  • Thanks Michael, even though the scene was composed via my imagination, it is a common scene in this area.

Beautiful, Jim….looks like it could be here in Pennsylvania. Has a soothing feel to it. Nice job.

  • I thought to be a farm in PA it had to have a hugh stone and wood barn that was three times as nice as the house close to in Gordon. LOL Thanks buddy.

Wonderful scene Jim, love the colours. The house really stands out beautifully and I especially like the 3D effect of the darker tree and ground in the front!

  • Appreciate your specific comment Arie, as I was hoping the tree would really add some depth to this one.
