Excellent painting Jim!!Wonderful execution!!!
How very kind of you Elisabeta. Thanks.
Wow, the colors PoP and this is one precious portrait. She will love it!
I certainly hope so Marriet. Thank you for such a sweet comment.
She is certainly grown up….great job Jim…..I especially love all the textures and colours you’ve included…Great composition…
Maybe a bit grown up “looking,” but far from grown up. I think both her dad and I have both decided they aren’t allowed to get any older. LOL Thanks Janis.
What struck me first were those piercing eyes, then the vivid color, then the composition, then the attention to detail, then the…………… Just gorgeous, Jim. You truly outdid yourself with this one. And what a pretty young lady she is!
Thanks for a great comment Marsha. Yeah, in a way it just kills me to see them growing up way to fast. Her and her sister are both very cute young ladies. I wish I could just slam on the “getting older” brakes.
this my friend is amazingly wonderful……………….great detail in every way.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,question is ………how can the master keep getting better and better………….?YDMPS>Time to lock them up,……………..
I was thinking about the same thing while I was painting this. Their daddy is going to have his hands full and a lot sooner than he was probably planning on. LOL YDM with your heart felt comments brah’. Thanks a million kj.
Fantastic painting Jim!! I just love all the detail! You have nailed the facial expression on this one!!
This was her idea of a serious “model look.” LOL Thank you Lisa.
Very nice work…
Greatly appreciated Ercan. Thank you.
Gorgeous painting – gorgeous girl even if she is only 10.
Thanks for that double compliment Cal.
Congratulations..you have been featured in the First Things Group
Thanks Janis, I put some real effort into this one, so this makes me feel very good about it. Really appreciated.
Oh that look! I think it must be typical of girls of a certain age, the world over…I have two granddaughters of similar age and I am very familiar with “the look”Congratulations on the feature Jim! It is a beautiful painting of a beautiful girl.
I would imagine that you do know exactly what this pose is about Sandy. They still living in a world of pretend, playing with baby dolls yet have just dreams of what the adult world is about. You can see, as I did here see those glimps of a young woman peek outside the child. If only they could understand just how wonderful it is to be a child. Thanks.
