Acrylic on 14″×11″ canvas board
What kinda served at least as an inspiration for this work was the memory of how much the unexpected cost of dry docking a large boat was. I ended up going back to something I could get in and out of the water myself.
wow, love it , Jim
Thanks Luda, you’re a good RB buddy to have.
Another beautiful ‘Phillips’ to feast the eyes on! Such a wonderful composition which leads the eye past the boat until we notice Jim and Barb strolling along the beach! I think I can even see ‘Cooper’ a little bit ahead of you!!!! Lovely colours, and lovely sky, and and and ……lovely everything really!
You wouldn’t see Cooper, because he would be over in the tall grass nosing around. He doesn’t care that much for the sand either. LOL That a wonderful comment and compliment Lynda, thank you very much.
JST. amazing d light, sea, boat , sand oh my God everything is so beautifully done……just lov it …:)
That’s a super comment Kiran, thank you so much.
I hate to use the word as it’s so bland, but this is really “nice” Jim…it feels warm and holidayish, and shows the best part of life…to enjoy it…beautiful feelings evoked here…
Janis there are so many words used here on RB to evoke grandness, like wonderful, excellent, great, fantastic, etc. that words like nice lose there real meaning. I often say “nicely done,” and when I do I mean it as only as a compliment. I love your comment, and understand it perfectly. Thank you.
Perfect title :)
You obviously get it. Thanks Kim.
The viewer is Beautifully drawn into this picture and taken into the romance of the moment with the couple. Lovely work.
Both you and Lynda seem to be the only ones who picked up on the couple walking on the beach. Thanks, you’ve got a sharp eye.
Lovely work Jim, I must be really poor as I don’t even have a little boat. lol
My advice is if you ever want to have money or keep it, don’t buy a boat. LOL Thanks Irene.
wonderful beach scene Jim…invites the viewer’s eye right into the painting ….I feel like taking a walk along the water’s edge behind the lucky couple…a lovely painting…
Linda, you’re the third one who’s recgonized the couple off in the distance. Good eye. Thanks so very much for your wonderful comment.
like the unifying blue- ocean, interior of the boat, behind the house and dabs in the trees- looking closely great use of color-
Thanks Fred, I appreciate the fact that you always take a good close look, that a compliment in itself.
Thank you Marsha, super comment.
