9"x 12" Watercolour with Winsor Newton paints on 140lb Frabrino watercolour paper.
Painted for a challenge using the beautiful photograph provided by Annette Hagger entitled Poringland Woods, Norfolk.
Buy it, I’m already in my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments.

excellent Jim beautiful light nice coloures..
Considering it was painted from a photo, I actually used a rather limited palette. There are no more than around six or so colours used. Thanks.

A ‘zinger’ Jim. It takes a lot of skill to paint into the light, but when it works, as in this case, it pays off handsomely.
I really appreciate that remark Brian, that’s a very kind comment. Thank you sir.

don’t know what the original looks like but I must say …this i sa winner for sure…..

I actually feel as if I am in the woods……your colors pop the light peering thru the trees, the sun on the green leaves and the shadows complete this masterpiece………
This is the best feature by far. That’s a real fine compliment kj, thank you friend.
