Watercolor on 140lb watercolor paper
Original 16″×22″

This piece was requested by my wife who has been busy redecorating our dining room. The color decisions were influenced by what colors she needed with her new color choices in that room.

Buy it, I’m already well into my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments. (Well….the good ones anyway.)

I think this lovely painting will be perfect for your room Jim…are you using blue and yellow for the walls?

  • She is using a light pumkin color on the walls and we have a deep blue carpet in that room. After I matt and frame I’ll post a photo showing room and painting.

Oh, this is so awesome. I love those reflective blue shadows under the lemons…the blue is fantastic. Sounds to me like a wife with an EXcellent eye for color! Really like this one Jim.

  • The first thing I want to ask is who is the young good-looking chick in your avatar? Thanks Carolyn, Barbara really does have an eye for coordinating colors and the like.

Oooh, I love the blue bottles and how they look against the yellow lemons. Beautiful!

  • Well maybe I should let my wife Barbara select my color pallettes more oftern before I start a painting, LOL. Thanks Lora, that was actually a very sweet comment.

certainly did not limit your pallette here my friend……..
wonderful painting….A beauty for the dining room………
So did you get a good price for it from the purchaser…….

  • Oh yeah, I was paid with the honor of cleaning her paint brushes and toting the ladder back to the tool shed after she painted the dinning room.
