Watercolour on 140 lb watercolour paper
As the New River widens as it reaches for the ocean, there is an unusual combination of hardwoods (usually seen inland) and mini beaches or sandy areas (more like the beaches) that start to form.
I painted this as example of what my watercolour class will do next week. It demonstrates a wet on wet technique. We will also be talking about creating depth, reflections, and a paint speckling technique.
