Watercolor using Royal Langnickel paints on Arches 140lb coldpress not
original 12″×16″

Trying to capture one of humorous moments all grandparents share with their grandchildren.

Buy it, I’m already well into my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments. (Well….the good ones anyway.)

Great spirit captured in this painting Jim. Is that your grandson?

  • You’d think with four boys that one of them would produce a grandson, but noooo, all I get is granddaughters….LOL (Who I love very much by the way)

LOL…I know that feeling since on my tall days I am on;y 5’ 1"…LOL usually can’t reach the floor sitting at the dinner table! Brilliant painting my friend… the look on the grandpa’s face is priceless and the color and depth is outstanding!

  • On my very tallest day I might can make 5’4" so I don’t think 5’1" is all that short…..LOL Thanks Susan for a terrific comment on the art.

What a fun painting. Love the body language & the obvious great time being shared by these two.

  • Pleased that you devoted attention to the content and not just to the painting technique on this one Marsha. Thank you.
