12″×9″ acrylic painting on canvas panel

Cape Lookout is one of five major historical lighthouses along North Carolina’s coastline. It’s just north of where I live.

Buy it, I’m already well into my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments. (Well….the good ones anyway.)

Whoa! You’ve captured that line between sea and its end… Or is that the line between land and its end? Or…. or is that the line between sky and its end? Or… or… Does everything maybe, well, begin here? What a poetic pallet JIm… You’ve found omens both in the water and the sky to sandwich us there in their middle. Sweeeeet!

  • You may have very well put more thought into your comment than I put into the painting Ted. But it is indeed thought provoking and very much appreciated friend. Thanks for a wonderful comment.

Gorgeous sunset and love the deep and dark hues of green and browns. Great contrast as well, to still bring out your lighthouse and houses in the background.

  • Such words of artistic wisdom….lol Thank you very much Jennifer.
