Mixed Media (watercolor with white acrylic highlights) 12″×8″ on linen canvas sheet.

I would love to tell you about the location of this work, but the truth is my RB friend Carolyn Staut sent me the photo I used for this painting. She responded quickly to my indecision of what to paint by emailing me half a dozen photos. How cool is that?

Buy it, I’m already well into my 60’s and if I’m going to be famous, well, I’m running out of time. I like to think my work has been influenced by the great impressionists, although my wife says it’s because I won’t go and get my eyes checked. At any rate, I do love to paint watercolour and acrylics and it’s a true wish of mine that you enjoy viewing my work. Go ahead and let me know what you think, I love to read your comments. (Well….the good ones anyway.)

Wow! Love the painting … love the title, too!

  • Thank you so much, Carolyn. You know I’m retired and this is how I feel from time to time. (Not completely down, but the parts don’t work like they used to.) LOL

Wow Jim! I am so impressed! I just love your treatment of this old Shrimper. The location is Conn Brown Harbor, Port Aransas, Texas. You have so perfectly done this image justice. Even though sunk and rusting away, you have added a quiet dignity that is priceless. Love it!

  • Hope you didn’t mind my giving you some credit. Thanks for your very kind remarks, Carolyn. And thanks again for favoring.
