Jim Phillips
Profile
My name is Jim Phillips. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, I have lived in a number of communities across North Carolina, but have spent the past 30 years living near the coast in Jacksonville, North Carolina. What brought me to Jacksonville originally was my career as a graphic artist with Coastal Carolina Community College. My formal education
was a BS in Commercial Design, which has earned me a long and satisfying career. I retired with 35 years in the education field as a graphic artist. It is now that I will follow my true passion as a painter. I have been painting and experimenting with different art mediums ever since my college years, however, over the past couple of decades I have become most comfortable with watercolors, acrylics, and pen and ink. However, on this site you will see paintings, photographs as well as some graphic projects.
