Missy Corrales “sleeps” in Black Mountain, but “lives” in Asheville, NC
with her husband, Jorge
and their fur babies; kitties: Marley, Vinnie & boxer mix: Mazzy.
They have two adult children, Ciera and Jorge Jr. that have left the nest but occasionally return to the nest.
“My style and approach is unique and hard to categorize. By merging my love of photography and art to create a finished image begins with clicking the shutter of my camera and enhancing my photograph in Photoshop to create a one-of-a-kind work of art. Most images are envisioned before I capture them. Sometimes I make a photograph unsure how I will process it. A word, quote or feeling may inspire me.
“Sometimes you just have to let your heart & soul guide you.
Artist Statement:
“images that evoke emotion”
“I want people to feel something when looking at my photography. My goal as a photographer is to be creative and bring out feelings. I’m not afraid to do things differently; to standout rather than blend in and my hope is that my photography stirs something inside you.”
