This male rhino was charging an entire herd of buffalo. He was chasing them across the field. The ranger noticed that there was a female rhino nearby and suspected this male was trying to mate with her, but had not succeeded. For a period of up to 2 weeks the males may attempt to mate and if they are not successful, they tend to take it out on nearby animals. It was amazing to see how buffalo., who have their own significant reputation, fled the charging rhino. If you look closely, you can see he is kicking up dirt and sticks.
