I am an amateur photographer with a love of travel. I mostly enjoy landscape and wildlife photography. I live in California which provides a great deal of opportunities for great photography.
Nice shot mate – very dramatic – must have been great to see.
Is that really JATO or just for effect? Nice shot!
I would love to answer your question if I knew what JATO is :}
– Michael Moss
JATO is Jet Assisted Take Off. They put rockets on planes with heavy loads to help them take off, once they are up in the air then they can keep up with their own power. I beleive the rockets fall off shortly after take off. I have never seen it used in person.
Thanks, now that I know, they did it just for the show. We needed somethings to entertain us since the cloud ceiling was so low.
Nicely captured Michael. – Ted
