Definitely a score of 10/10 on the cute factor. Well done. Why not add it to the ‘For the Love of Cats’ group?

Outstanding image, Michael. Lucky you to see cheetah at Phinda. The cheetah were not cooperative when I was there but a leopard we nicknamed “Clark Gable” for his photogenic nature was a treat. Anyway, I digress…this is superb. Well done!

  • Its a shame you didnt get to see cheetah at a place known for them. On the plus side, I have only seen leopard at Phinda once and it definitely was not Clark Gable, the leopard was skittish.

Michael, there’s a postscript to my Phinda/cheetah story. Since January 1, my husband and I have begun the task of sorting through old photo albums, discarding some pics and compiling family images into more coherent order, etc. On the heels of my comment to you about the Phinda cheetah not being cooperative during our visit in 1999, what did I discover in an old album but lots of close up cheetah images from Phinda. The memory is not cooperating these days! In my defense, it was my husband who was taking most of the photos back then, not moi. Oh well, one has to laugh. It was nice reliving old memories. If I can get whales off the brain, I’ll have to return to see more of my favorite elephants and big cats. Cheers to you!
