The Shapeshifter

Inspired by Shamanic Trance Dances that I experienced some years ago. Blind folded, we as a group moved and danced to the sounds of animals and instruments. You become so aware of sound and feeling that no one bumps into each other. The sound of the instruments take you away and you shape shift into other forms. I remember shape shifting into Horse and Leopard among other animals … a wonderful experience!

Encaustic Art on black card.
Tools: Hot plate, rubber scrapy and roller.
Coloured wax blocks.

The Shapeshifter belongs to the following groups:

I love the effect you get with this method. I meant to try this last year but then life gets in the way, so many things and no time.
Fantastic image it is mezmorizing (can’t spell, get the drift) It must be even better in the flesh.
    Fantastic job, well done. Trace

Very rustic colours which leap out at you, a brilliant piece, with amazing depth.

Interesting, did you notice the melting face that is looking up between the balls at the bottom? Also it looks like a fish standing on its tail from top to bottom on the right side of the picture. MARVELOUS looking, love it.
