All Out Emotion and The Healing Journey

After feeding our ravenous trio of cats I glanced out of the kitchen window, out into the darkness, down towards the houses below, where one window in particular drew my attention, the curtains opened showing bright lights from within, the lights then dimmed, I stood by the window and watched as the silhouette of a body departed through a doorway and then nothing, well apart from the dim light glowing through from another room out of the adjacent window.
Tears began to run down my cheeks, memories flooding into my mind…emotional overload…the lonely frail old man was off to bed, to kiss the back of his hand, in his mind he’s lovingly kissing goodnight to his wife of over 50 years who was tragically taken from him 3 years ago….

Goodnight Dad… I miss you too Mum xx
