I feel a pain.
Not cut yourself pain
Not slit your throat pain
Not snake bite pain, but the pain of losing a loved one.
You were there for me all my life.
If the dark were upon me,
you were the light that out shined the sun
Hearing your voice,
was like listening to a soft guitar
Seeing you in pain,
was like looking at leaveless tree
Your cries of pain
felt like fresh venom seeping into my veins
The wind blew softly,
The clouds stopped their march
The grass was slowly dying
thats when in knew you were gone
I’m sorry that I didn’t say good bye
I’m sorry I wasn’t there to see your eyes close
but now I know that even if I were there
you would have said the same thing to me…
“I love you darlin”
This poem was written by me and is an homage to my late grandmother. I love her with all my heart and hope that she loves heaven.
