I have been involved, in the past, as a mentor for women who have been incarcerated and paroled, helping them adjust to life after prison. Knowing that they are not alone makes all the difference between becoming productive citizens again or re-offending. This charity’s name is “Leaving the Cocoon” and is currently working with both men and women in Tennessee’s state prison system.
