“Reality depresses me. I need to find fantasy worlds and escape in them.” ~ Noel Fielding
Love it :-)
Hi Trudi! Lovely to see you! and thank you for your wonderful comment :-)
– Karen Helgesen
How wonderful! Thank you so much for the feature!
I can’t help feeling a bit selfish and hoping you continue with this “affliction”!! We’re all the recipients of your imagination and inspired by it, as I can see you are yourself. Reality can be so difficult sometimes, and nature, art, imagination are all healthy consolations I think. We’re born with imagination and can choose whether to develop it, so it’s part of reality. I love this image Karen, and the title is so great too!! You’re an amazing artist and a lovely person xx
Hi Ali! I can’t begin to tell you how much I look forward to your comments! You are so generous…and clearly very thoughtful about what you write. Thank you so very much! When I was a kid, during those long lazy days of summer, I used to lie on my back for hours and watch the clouds…seeing in them all kinds of different things…then, the clouds would shift about and become something entirely different! I was daydreamer….Afflicted By Fiction! And will continue to be so until such a time as I no longer reside on Mother Earth! Thank you again…you are a very special lady!
How very wonderful, Robyn! Thank you so much for the feature! I know I have told you I love your Feature Banner…but, it bears repeating! One of the coolest ones I’ve seen…love it!!
I’m with you Karen, when you find the fantasy world please let me know…….. I’ve stopped watching the news and just have a quick look now and again, far too depressing, I think we just have to lead our lives the best we can and enjoy out family and friends . This is gorgeous, I love all the characters, colour is wonderful and those fish are so cute…. Beautiful work of art as always Karen. I actually found a “Happy News” and watch that…. sick of the media only recording the bad things in life…… Don’t let life get you down. :o) xox
You are so very special, Josie! Your comments are unfailing uplifting and so very thoughtful! I agree with your assessment of the ‘news’ these days! I used to believe that it was my DUTY to watch…to learn…to absorb…all that was happening in the world. And, in some ways, I still do…it would be a good thing to know should we go to war or there was some sort of devastating natural disaster! But…even these sorts of things go unreported…the news seemingly is just an arm of the government these days and will only report those things they deem important. There was a headline yesterday…one which had me scratching my head and wondering, “Don’t politicians have anything else better to do with their time?” Apparently not…the headline read, “Democrats Go To War With the Weather”. Oh. I wonder who wins? Anyway..thanks again for another wonderful comment…much appreciated!
Such a fun, imaginative image! Your artworks always make me smile Karen. xx
