Dear Anonymous

I have no idea if you’ll see this or not, but thank you for the kind note you left me regarding my piece, “The Owl and the Pussy Cat”. I so appreciate your kind words and your purchase….it is always a humbling experience when someone choses a piece of my work.

Why

So many people lost their lives in Paris tonight. My niece could have been one of them. This is so horrifying….what kind of human beings can commit such atrocities? AND…in the name of God? How is it that such evil exists? It makes everything else in my life seem silly and insignificant……….

All I can ask is, “Why?”….

I Love My Life....Usually

Hi! Just a quick note…I am using my daughter’s computer, so I must be fast! My computer has sadly died. I am in mourning. Both for my computer and my camera…which suffered an injury during, “Grandparent’s Day” at my grandson’s school. I was leaning over some of Ryan’s lovely artwork when it slipped from my shoulder and made contact with the concrete floor. It still takes pictures…a small consolation in view of the fact that the photos are heinous.…

About four years ago my husband left me. He graciously waited until I had signed all the bankruptcy paperwork. A bankruptcy due the to the U.S. housing crash….his business crashed right along with it. Long story short…I was left with nothing but a Mercedes…a car I could no longer afford to maintain…and so I sold it. It was my lone pos

And Then There Were Four...

Yesterday my fourth grandson, Samuel, was born. And, yesterday a mother was born as well. Sam is my oldest daughter’s first baby. It was such a blessing to witness the births of two new lives…indeed, three new lives! As William Blake wrote:

“My mother groaned, my father wept,
into the dangerous world I leapt.”
― William Blake

Mommy groaned and Daddy wept…as Sam took his first breath and cried for the first time. We are all so grateful that both she and her new baby are doing fine….Kelly ( mommy) has a genetic blood disorder which made her pregnancy one which was considered “high risk”. Which made me a wreck! But, in spite of all that could have gone wrong…everything went right.

“Every child begins the world again….” ~Henry David Thoreau

And so it is…my world has begun for the four

Blah....

I just wanted to take a moment to let anyone who may be interested that my life just blew up. Not literally….but, have family issues that have really zapped me emotionally. Hoping to get over it soon…in the meantime, thank you for all the wonderful comments on my work and I look forward to being able to comment on all of yours soon. Life can be a funny thing. Both full of joy and grief. But…usually not at the same time. A bit of a struggle for me right now…all I want to do is sleep….anyway..thank you all for everything.

Boston's Bombing...

My cousin, Ben, works for Boston’s EMS and was on the scene yesterday, “…kicking death’s ass”…on Boylston Street after the heinous bombing at the Boston Marathon finish line. I want to just thank him and all those who work to serve and to protect all of us. As my daughter observed, while watching a video of the carnage, many people ran TOWARD the bombing…not away, to help. This is what makes America so great and I am so proud to be a citizen of this great Country. Please keep those affected in your thoughts and prayers….

Great job, Ben! So proud to be your cousin!
