Thank you! He was just learning how to sit and was about to topple over when I took this picture! But, he really was fascinated by this butterfly (a rather sluggish one I might add) and I have way too many pictures of their interaction. Typical grandma.
This is FABULOUS! i can’t believe more people haven’t commented on this one. The only way it could be better is if just a bit more of his face showed, but i like it just like this.
Oh this is so sweet! In fact, I like it precisely as it is, because (seeing only the big head of somebody leaning to his subjects, deeply involved in an important research!) it’s a sort of (very lovely!) caricature of curiosity… :) So well done, Karen!
Thank you! I love to try and capture those magical moments…having a grandchild is so sweet! Now, I rarely catch his face because he is deeply involved in the important research regarding dirt and all those things associated with it ( trucks, digger trucks, diesel trucks, bulldozers, front end loaders, etc.)
Oh yes, I know the importance of this research, being a mom to a daughter (4y) and a son (2y) who are big researchers, too. Our garden is full of branches taken from the whole neighbourhood, and our garage would be the next if I wouldn’t stop them ;)
This photo is so fun that I’m just sitting here grinning at the screen like a maniac. I love this! I love the full concentration, and now that you’ve said he’s about to topple over, I can just about see that happening. It’s a great moment to capture. :-)

Oh my Gosh! What a sweet, sweet capture! I love it when they see things for the first time, especially ones we take for granted. :)
