This amazing photograph ties in beautifully with the famous quote, “I am a feather for each wind that blows”. Spectacular

I have just received the poster size version of this print and trust me when I say the web view does it no justice. The american indians have a long association with feathers and it is believed we all have Indian Guides looking over us. Twenty years ago I had a clairvoyant describe mine which I took with a grain of salt. Since then the feathers have chased me down and made me listen, they signify turning points in our life, things which may not be apparent at the time, but I have learned to take notice. In this case the artist has felt the beauty and the life of the feather and close examination of the poster reveals the perfect contrast of life rising up from the surrounding litter. The second thing that I was drawn to was the light coloured twig in the top right. I was unsettled by this at first as it seemed to distract from the feather until i realised that life is never quite perfect and my eyes were moist with personification. One last piece of litter lays directly atop the subject and yet the purity of the feather rises above it, how appropriate, and how glad I am I found it. Thank you for sharing your soul, and while you gaze at this picture you will never fall. Rod.

This is one of the simplest and least thought out shots I have ever captured. I took this photo without a second thought and realised how great it was weeks later when I uploaded it to my computer. Funny how the most random things are generally the best.
