This is from a larger work called ‘Forbidden Fruit’ comprising 25 groups of 5 images. This is the fourth image of group 2. The creative process begins with felt tip pen drawings on graph paper. These are then scanned into photoshop and digitally manipulated to create the effect of photographed installations.
Whilst the content is clearly non-figurative and geometrically derived there is a genuine message to the work. I am either exposing to conscious inspection the archtypical patterns underlying ‘the meaning of life, the universe and everything’ or I’m “completely off my head”. In the final analysis it’s just a work of art.
Well….I can feel and grasp the containing. Both symbollically and archetypically. The truth is that you were inspired by a Visionary as Leonardo… interpreting the concept of Human Consciousness and status of the Mankind in the Universe. I specially love this metaphor of Time expressed thourgh the creation of this sort of clock installed just in the middle of the man-creation. Time following the communicating of Earth and Heaven… duality transformed in a Non-Time.. the squaring of the circle revisited in the Centre of the Self.. It is Fantastic!.. Though you do not beleive it.. it is a New Crucifixion…. The Crucifixion of Man is in his concept about time… it is his torment and his extasis… and do not worry…. it is a work of art and you are not “completely off your head..” (smile) Rosa
