This alternate view of the mill, was taken from the Hunterton County Art museum. The little houses on the window sill are part of their exhibit.
I liked the contrast of the mill beyond the glass and the darkness around it.
The old red mill is a landmark in Clinton, NJ. Built originally as a wool mill in 1810, it was converted in the late 1800’s to a grist mill. Now a museum, with the mill wheel still being powered by the river and falls. Perhaps if we were as smart as our ancestors we would think of a way to generate energy again from free sources of energy like the waves of the oceans, the rivers power, and the wind, phasing out gas, and polution generating sources of energy..
