The old red mill is a landmark in Clinton, NJ. Built originally as a wool mill in 1810, it was converted in the late 1800’s to a grist mill. Now a museum, with the mill wheel still being powered by the river and falls. Perhaps if we were as smart as our ancestors we would think of a way to generate energy again from free sources of energy like the waves of the oceans, the rivers power, and the wind, phasing out gas, and polution generating sources of energy..

Hi Mary…this looks so familiar…it is a great shot, too. Was this featured in a movie or advertisement that you know of? Anyway, nice work. Very appealing!

  • I wouldn’t be surprised, I’ve also seen others from this area on RB that have taken pictures in Clinton, so you may have seen it here on RB.

Beautiful color and detail, great perspective. I like your commentary as well. I have a feeling it will take a much more serious crisis for us to do anything smart like that.

  • Thanks for the comment John, it’s a shame we can’t think ahead before just breathing becomes a problem. I had a friend who just returned from China and said with all the modernization, pollution is so bad that she had to go to the hospital when she returned to get her the gunk out of her lungs. What are we leaving for our children..
Maybe people like us just keep speaking out will get more people aware of it! Thanks again.. you got me on my soap box.
