Shrimpboats at Gay’s Fishery On St. Helena’s Island, SC USA. Resting for the night. I use to drive past them on my way to town when I lived on an island in SC. It was always such a beautiful sight to see them peeking out of the reeds.

Thanks Naveen, appreciate your stopping by.
I grew up on the coast of NC and know exactly how you feel about seeing these!
Thanks for stopping by Mtraufler, it is a sight I too miss now living in NJ.
Thanks Walela, appreciate it.
Thanks for the feature Susanne, always a nice surprise to be represented in this great group’s gallery!
Wonderful shot Mary…I love the contrast between the golden reeds and the vivid blue sky.
Thanks Jim, I loved this view and it would change with the seasons in the fall the reeds turn this golden color, in the spring lime green and in the summer darker green.. It was my favorite spot on my ride to town.
This is so beautiful, Mary!!! I want to go back to the beautiful lowcountry!!
Yes, it is beautiful there at times. I’m in cities now and miss he birds flying in.
Wow I love the color of the reeds next to the blue sky. Wonderful shot.
Thanks, fall in the low country makes the grass reeds golden but the sun still shines.. so glad you liked it.
Excellent shot Mary! I have a shot similar (not nearly as good) to this taken in Charleston.
It a frequent sight in the low country, do you live near there or were you just passing through. I use to live on Fripp Island, but now I’m up north.
I was there on business. Because I was working I didn’t have much time for sightseeing. Plan on going back though!
