Tranquility

The town of Clinton is located on the South Branch River in NJ, USA. The town is famous for the old buildings that line the River, including a mill that uses the river to produce energy.

The town of Clinton is a tranquil little village in the western part of central NJ. The little shops are fun to wander around in on a summer day, the old buildings bring you back to a time when the river powered everything, from mills, to electric lights.

Perhaps we can make better use of our rivers and streams today and recapture some of the natural non polluting energy that abounds around us.

The building shown along the river banks houses the Clinton Art Museum.
Clinton is a great place to spend your afternoon, walking along the river, visiting the old mill, the falls, or the art museum.

Wonderland offers the perfect complement.

Awesome reflections! This truly is a very picturesque area!

  • Mary Campbell replied

I would have to agree, as NJ goes it is a beautiful quaint area but traffic and housing developments are even encroaching there..

Love the reflections. I have been to NJ a couple of times and never seen anything like these photos. I need to go back.

  • Mary Campbell replied

Yes, NJ is quite diverse most people just get to see the airport area which is a wasteland.. But it has some of the best beaches, farm land, mountains (skiing in the winter), horses, history and lots of traffic and pollution, so you have to look a bit for nature..

Love it, love it, love it!!
Clinton, huh? Sounds like I need to visit!

  • Mary Campbell replied

Thanks Caren, you’d like it I think if you like small quaint towns. If you like the outdoors it’s close to Spruce Run and Round Valley. Or take the old train ride from Flemington to New Hope.. All possible for a nice day trip.
