Coffins Point
Coffins Point Beaufort South Carolina originally got it’s name in the 1700’s. Settlers of this area of the USA perished in great numbers due to the heat of summer, and the mosquitos born diseases. Thus the name Coffins Point as it was where the bodies were taken to be shipped back to the mainland.
Today it’s just a nice little sleepy boat docking area. Saliboats at rest dockside.
