Water Tower TtV #2

Water Tower TtV #2

Howard, RI water tower captured on a blustery New England “spring” day.

Simple compositions work best for TtV. The sky was very gray, almost stormy, and the sun was about to set.

Nikon D40 shot through a modified cereal box and then through the lens of a Carlton-Reflex camera. No photoshop other than the crop tool.

Water Tower TtV #2 was featured on the Redbubble Home Page on January 18, 2009 and is featured in the group TTV: Through The Viewfinder.

Also available as a t-shirt:

What size film did the old Carlton-reflex take – 620?

  • Paul Lavallee replied

Actually 120. The viewfinder creates cooler images than the camera itself. It’s my girlfriends camera. She does more TtVs than I do.

Neat – Gotta try it sometime. The TtV idea appeals to me for capturing images from cams for which there’s no film supply anymore.
