This baby Praying Mantis is one of many that hatched from their cocoons in my yard. This little guy is enjoying my Plumeria he tends to hang out here all the time. My Plumeria’s buds are only about 3/4" and the flower itself is between two and three inches so he is pretty small. He was ready to fight for his spot on my flowers. Little did he know I want him there!

    wow awesome capture hun! I’ve only seen one once! we don’t normally have them up hear! andone day i hear a big thunk! go check out on the deck and its a praying mantis that flew into my door!.this guys looks pretty cute)

    Beautiful shot Carol. I’ve heard that these guys are good for gardens. They eat the bad bugs.

  • and mine too! I have them all over my yard – i brought back an 8 inch piece 10 years ago from Hawaii and i now have two 8 foot trees and I root their branches all the time – i have so many i give them away to friends and family! thanks for the comment!
