Carol…this is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Last time we took the ride back along 395, I started shooting pics out the window a little too late! These areas were full of fall color & I finally started shooting through a dirty window around Bishop. The area just couldn’t be more beautiful…except, maybe, with all the snow that you jus got here!!!!! Oh…you’re making me drool!!!!! Instant fav!!!!!

Yes, this is a beautiful capture. I like how you have captured the trees in the foreground, with the mountain in the back. Having the trees in the shot, really adds to the composition(and adds color). Most people would of just focused on the mountain only.

I beleive everything has already been said about this Amazing shot. What is truly amazing it is straight out of the camera, called it luck called it genius, It is Fabulous. I love the way the redness of the foregrounds brings out the power of the mountains and the clouds or foot at the top of the picture add a sort of eeriness. Powerful shot

This looks like “home” to me. Perhaps that is one aspect of this photo that makes subconscious appeal. The conscious appeal is obvious. Very well done.

Carol, I just have to add to the pile of compliments on this pic. It is very beautiful! I have to laugh at how you got it, as my wife used to complain that I wouldn’t stop the car to let her take pictures along the road, yet she still captured some incredible shots in spite of me. Now that I’m a photographer too, I stop, most of the time!
