’Twas the night before Obama arrived in Ottawa, Canada for his first official international visit, and the Capital had just been hit hard by a freezing driving snowstorm. Because of a recent bus strike some die-hards were still cycling through the winter. Taken near the War Memorial and Parliament, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on Feb. 19, 2009

Fuji S9500, ISO 400, 1/20 s @ f2.8, tripod mounted.

Max is a semi-retired 60+ boomer science guy, currently living in Ottawa, Canada’s capital. Growing up with photography and art in his family, he was self-taught ever since he developed his own films at the age of 13. “I do it for the sheer joy of creating an image regardless of whether it pleases, stuns or provokes”, he says. He likes to experiment and is currently exploring pinhole, Infra-red, panoramic, and high dynamic range photography.

    love it

  • thanks again! Gee, you’re fast – I just posted it!
    Cheers,
    Max
PS: Obama’s a real hero here and gets more press than our own Prime Minister. The next morning these streets were blocked with hundreds of admirers who had been waiting out in the snow and cold since 4 or 5 am!
