Infrared Springtime at Laurel Creek, Waterloo by

An Infrared shot of Laurel Creek running through Waterloo Park, Waterloo, Ontario, April 29 ’08.

It was a grey drizzly day. I used a Fuji S9500 with a R72 filter, set at ISO 800, f8 and shot for 30 sec on a tripod.

Max is a semi-retired 60+ boomer science guy, currently living in Ottawa, Canada’s capital. Growing up with photography and art in his family, he was self-taught ever since he developed his own films at the age of 13. “I do it for the sheer joy of creating an image regardless of whether it pleases, stuns or provokes”, he says. He likes to experiment and is currently exploring pinhole, Infra-red, panoramic, and high dynamic range photography.
