Artistic Photography by Max Buchheit.

Please also see my gallery at http://mxbuck.redbubble.com .

I’m a “60+” boomer science nerd who is now currently alive and well and living in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Growing up with photography and art in my family, I was self-taught ever since I developed my own sheet film neg at the age of 13. I do it for the sheer joy of creating an image regardless of whether it pleases, stuns or provokes. Currently I’m exploring pinhole photography, Infra-red photography, panoramic photography and high dynamic range (“HDR”) photography.

I welcome feedback and comments of any sort so that I can learn from it and improve my work. So thanks to all of you who have left comments.

Many thanks to the Photographers of Canada Group for featuring Infrared Springtime in Ottawa, No. 1 . It’s an honour. / Talking about spring, I hope it comes soon – it was -21C this morning with an effective skin temperature of -31C (“wind chill” equivalent) – phew! / Cheers, / Max

I've got the "Digital Camera Battery Run-down Blues"...

Well, we were experiencing an amazing white-out of a snow blizzard here in Ottawa a few minutes ago and I rushed out with my pocket Pentax point and shoot digital. Just as I had found the greatest vantage point and subject material, the little camera beeped and prompted me with “Battery Depleted” !! And that’s despite the battery being newly recharged.
