I’m putting this up so that some can understand how I come up with prices that I charge for work outside of redbubble.
I sell sign stock photos 3xcost with inflated values. I can print an 11×14 for 5 dollars. I get my frames for 12 dollars. I get matt for 2 dollars. Lets round it up and say total cost is 20 dollars. Three times cost would be 60 dollars. Now add reative cost most people would have to spend 20-30 dollars for a 16×20 frame it cost 12 dollars to print a quality 11×14 still cost 2 dollars for matting. 30+12+2=44 times three would be 132 dollars rounded to 140 for even change. So my low is 60 my high is 140 the medium is 100 Dollars. I also sell 16×20 18×24 and 24×36. The 16×20 cost less to produce that the 11×14 they sell framed $250. The 18×24 still cost less than the 11×14 they sell for $350. The 24×36 sell starting at $500. Smaller art that I sell 5×7 go for 20 and 8×10 go for 40. Mainly I get frames for 3 dollars and they cost less then a dollar to produce.
Is this a fair market value I checked local gallerys one at love field were I work and also some in ft worth and some in dallas by dallas alley and the art district. The going rate for a framed print at 11×14 is 75-150 dollars. The larger prints still fall inline with the medium prices at the gallerys. Why don’t I charge moore for my name and time. I haven’t the name power yet. I have a few museums I’m working with to get a show togeather that could raise the value but I haven’t had that yet.
The weddings the current rate for dallas seems to be 1000-5000 depending on package and hours spent. I have several cataglorys that the party can pick from the more they pick the more expensive it gets.
1000 dollar package get a photocd with no copywrite and a bound book with the proofs additional proof set 4×6 cost 100 dollars. This set gives brides maides, family, groomsmen, bride and groom.
1500 package still have the cd and book adding to this is getting ready and flower girl sets it adds time.
2000 Both church and reception adds cake, prep, more photos, proof prints book cd. 11×14 two 8×10 three 5×7 all enlargment are signed and framed. most popular
4000 This is an all day shoot. Getting ready, intimate, girls prep, selective color, rings, invitation, church, reception, backdrop, guys, wedding party, flower girl, trash the dress, floks, silly poses. 3 11×14 six 8×10 nine 5×7 all framed and sign.
