Pensacola Beach Wedding

My first wedding shoot ~ Thanks to all my friends for all their support!! :)

This was EXACTLY the vision I had when we went down to look at this place with them. I am so glad I could capture it just like this. For weeks I had this in my mind and to see it come together in a photograph and not even have to change anything is amazing to me. Something I can not even express in words. My camera has become my paint brush. WOW!

I think my favorite part of this photograph, is that I can FEEL what she is feeling… I can sense the excitement, the nerves, the absolute ERUPTION of emotion from this photograph… Without seeing even one face clearly, you have managed to arrange this shot so that we get a quick glimps of what the Bride was feeling…

    BRAVO Micki!!! Really stunning!

thank you so much Darren. I love that they just totally ignored me half the time. When they were way up the walkway and then he started walking ahead of her and then she walked up to meet him I realized I had to walk on the sand dunes. He looked at me at did the wave at me. He told me earlier “now you can’t walk on the dunes you know that”. He was joking of course. I’ll do ANYTHING to get a picture. Have I told you that I actually laid on the sand during the ceremony? That’s another story. :) he he

You hit the nail on the head Darren – so much emotion and you can’t even see her face!! Exceptionally well done! (white balance impeccable!!)

Oh Micki…this is just like a painting…I can’t believe how beautiful this is! You’ve got the skin tones, the dress, the white hair, the sand, and the flowers…all of these could and probably should have messed with the outcome, but you got them all! I’m sooooo impressed! One more thing that I absolutely love…you got just the right angle so that you can just see the groom way down there waiting for her. So, so, so good….big hugs and kisses too! :)

Beautiful! Great lighting Micki. Perfectly executed. Unusual perspective. I like the hint of the crowd waiting for them, it adds a sense of tension/anticipation/excitement to the image.

congrats – nice to know you got what you wished when you captured this special event… it is a challenge to set goals to capture certain things one sees in their own head isn’t it. Very nice work.
