Megan Van Groll

I am a painter specializing in large, colorful oil paintings and drawings of the human figure. I have often used myself as a model for my work, so many of my pieces (including all that you see here on RedBubble) are self-portraits. I am interested in the ways that contemporary women create meaning and identity from the world around them, and I often use food and nudity as symbolic tools to explore this topic.

I have a BFA in Drawing & Painting and I studied art in Florence, Italy at the Lorenzo De Medici School – Art Institute of Florence. My work is held in private collections throughout the US and Italy.
