This sculpture of a representation of a crashed dirgible airship was part of the 2012 Sculptures By The Sea Exhibition which is held annually. It is located from Bondi Beach south to and onto Tamarama Beach in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
The sculpture evokes the crash of the Hindenburg airship. It appears to have been made using Meccano pieces.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D90 camera fitted with a Tamron AF Aspherical LD DiII SP 11-18mm 1:4.5-5.6 [IF] zoom lens plus polarizing filter.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
