I recently visited the Sculpture Park in the wine-making Barossa Valley region of South Australia. It is located northeast of the state capital of Adelaide and was the result of an international sculpture symposium held there in 2008. There is a cycle route up to the Park with a fairly steep though not too long climb.
The eagle head sculpture in this photo was one of the sculptures that resulted.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D70 camera fitted with a Tamron AF Asphericla LD DiII SP 11-18mm 1:4.5-5.6 [IF] zoom lens.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
The photo was taken fairly early in the morning.
I can recommend this place – particularly for photographers. I would also recommend the similar (though earlier and more well-known) sculpture park overlooking the far western New South Wales town of Broken Hill in Australia.
