I visited the Sculpture Park in the wine-making Barossa Valley region of South Australia. This was the result of an international sculpture symposium held there in 2008.
The Barossa Valley is located northeast from Adelaide.
This arch was one of the sculptures. It was taken fairly early in the morning.
There is a cycling route that goes up to the Park – a fairly steep climb though not too long.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D70 camera fitted with a Tamron AF Aspherical LD DiII SP 11-18mm 1:4.5-5.6 [IF] zoom lens.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
Definitely a place I can recommend – particularly for photography. Early morning or probably late afternoon/sunset would be best.
There is a similar (though earlier and more well known) sculpture park in Broken Hill in far western New South Wales, Australia which I can also recommend.
