This mocked-up Sopwith Camel crash site was in front of a museum in south-eastern Victoria, Australia – just off the Princes Highway.
I came across it by accident when I took a slight wrong turn while on my way back to Sydney from the Melbourne suburb of Frankston. Unfortunately I didn’t note the museum’s proper name or the name of the road it was on. I also didn’t have time to check it out even if it had been open when I went through the area.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D70 camera fitted with a Tamron AF Aspheical XR Di LD [IF] 28-300mm 1:3.5-6.3 Macro zoom lens.
The photo has been tweaked using Gimp software using brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
