I used to work as a clerk in a government office in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in the 1970s at a time when smoking was still permitted in government offices and smoking advertisements were still allowed. I sometimes had some spare time and practiced drawing and writing with my left hand (I am naturally right-handed). This design began as a biro pen drawing done with my left hand. The colouring was added using Gimp software – some using the gradient tool but mostly using digital paintbrushing. Perhaps you have guessed that I am not in favour of smoking.
