Skycrane Take-off @ Albion Park Airshow 2009 by

This Ericksson Skycrane helicopter was temporarily imported into Australia to assist in fighting bushfires during the bushfire season. It is seen here taking off after being part of the ground display at the Historic Aircraft Restoration Society’s Open Day on Sunday February 22 2009 at Albion Park Airport, south of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.

The photo was taken with a Nikon D70 camera fitted with a Sigma 50-500mm zoom lens (I think).

Great shot (great action shot!) , but can you do me a favour and add some information on the actual zoom (even a guess will do if you are not sure). That way I can accept into Changing Zoom Lenses group providing it is less than 21mm or greater than 69mm :).

When it’s been added please resubmit it for moderation. and we will add it to the group.

    Regards

  • Thanks for your appreciation Darryl. I would think that the actual zoom setting was probably at the 500mm end.

    Sorry about the late reply.
