In 2012 I visited France to retrace the route of my father’s escape from imprisonment by the Nazis during the Second World War. The French town of Loches was among the places that his escape route passed through.
The photo shows the Le Donjon, a fortess tower located at the high end of the old Cite Medievale (Medieval City) fortress in Loches.
The photo was taken with a Nikon D70 camera fitted with a Tamron AF Aspherical LD DiII SP 11-18mm 1:4.5-5.6 [IF] zoom lens with polarizing filter.
The photo was tweaked using Gimp software – brightness/contrast tool and sharpening filter.
