I’m new here, my opinion counts for zilch, but the implementation of the reply link to comments is the best thing any forum or threaded discussion could ask for. Personal response is important – some people ask pertinent questions while others say thankyou- being able to focus answers to a person’s response is the single most essential element of online interaction there is.
You nay sayers will be proved wrong., mark my words.

Absolutely. I don’t know what the issue is. I never knew if anyone got my thanks and I don’t always have the time to write a journal to thank you all. This cuts out the fricking middle man and goes to the person who counts.
Thanks dude.

I agree completely. It seems kind of backwards to want to get rid of this feature. I think for the most part people dislike it for the wrong reasons too. For instance, I’ve heard people claim that people won’t look at their work after they leave a message… as though the only reason they comment on work is to get that person to look at their own work. Incredibly selfish way of looking at things … not to mention the fact that this feature shouldn’t affect that aspect in any way.

It’s a feature enabled on most forums and blogs – it makes sense to include it here.

I don’t understand the confusion people are experiencing. It’s like everyone suddenly stepped out of the stone age…
