I’ve drawn all my life. As my late uncle – who was a great cartoonist – used to say on the day I was born: “He’s born with a pencil”. Because my uncle was full of wit, I think he was referring to my gender, but anyway, I’m still drawing. I love drawing illustrations and cartoons and try to put enough drama in it, because humor is in fact tragedy. Inspirations are: Robert Crumb, Mikhail Zlatkovsky, the late Stef Vanstiphout (1931-1995), Mattiello, Paul Driessens, Tardi, Bilal, and Cal Schenkel …
