How the Forcefield was won and lost.
How the best laid plans can go wrong
How the Forcefield was won and lost. belongs to the following groups:
***♂♥♥QUORN♥♥♀, Sci Fi and Short stories - Spherical ScriptingsNot long ago there was a man who almost lived in his shed.
Day and night he worked in his back shed until finally, through sheer determination, skill, luck and perseverance he managed to create a forcefield.
It was a small device, that fit snugly around his wrist and once turned on would emit a small field around his body that would be impervious to anything .
So confident was he that instead of duplicating the device, or putting the plan to paper, he decided to test it.
Luckily for him he was close to a nuclear testing island, and so quietly he made his way to the island waiting for all the soldiers and inhabitants to leave. Once alone he setup camp and waited for the countdown…
Minutes before the bomb was set to go off he turned his forcefield on, and walked right up next to the massive bomb..
He waited and right on the dot when the bomb was set to go off it did so with a supersonic bang…
and shot the poor inventor out of the earths atmosphere, and into space.
Where he shortly died due to a lack of air.
The device and any knowledge of its creation has been lost to the outer reaches of space.
